About Ted Galatsianos

Ted Galatsianos, who has been practicing accounting for more than twenty years, founded Ops Accounting to serve small to medium size businesses and their owners, bringing their financial operations into the 21st century.

Ted received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Roosevelt University in Chicago.  He holds the title of IRS Enrolled Agent (EA).

According the the IRS, “An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee.

Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

Unlike attorneys and CPAs, who are state licensed and who may or may not choose to specialize in taxes, all enrolled agents specialize in taxation.

In addition to his accounting and tax credentials, he also holds numerous insurance and financial licenses including health, life, long term care and investment advisory (Series 65).

He has served as the consulting Controller and CFO for numerous companies, including one of the largest independently owned restaurant groups in the country with over sixty restaurants in seventeen states. Additionally, he has served as the consulting CFO for a mid-size regional mechanical services company on the Fortune 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in America for 2010 and 2011.

Mr. Galatsianos and his company use their expertise with today’s technology to utilize and enhance in-house accounting capabilities and are instrumental in helping small companies streamline their accounting processes.
